She certainly had steel balls and was not afraid to stick to her guns. I am a member of the proletariat yet I have little issues with.most of her policies. She simply refused to support failing industry, the British car industry failed because of managemet skimming profits and because we started making crap cars. The.miners strikes were pretty horrific but the fact was xoal was running out and the mines were running at a loss

I'm right about the cars though. British craftsmen and engineers were for decades the envy of the world, and for a lot of reasons still are. The problems arose from the ambivalent attitudes of yammy car workers who were so lacklustre in their work ethic that they produced rubbish. An attitude that has in recent yesrs seemed to pervade the country's workforce
