What exactly are Pots in a joystick?

My rudder pedals gave it up. One suggestion was to replace the POTs and another was to replace the POTs with something else. Is this difficult?

Pots is short for potentiometers. However, you are not being clear on what the issue might be when you say "gave it up," so it's hard to say if that would fix the problem. If you do discover that pots will fix the problem (give us more details) then you can order new pots here:
