Protractor
« on: April 25, 2013, 01:32:36 PM »
I know this has been asked for before. I haven't seen any reasons to not have it. Could we have an option to bring up a protractor when viewing the map? It would allow for more precise long distance flights. Before anyone says anything, I know that a bunch might not use it. But, it allows those of us that take part in strat runs every now and then to line up much better and from a longer distance.

HTC probably could introduce that amount of granularity to the map.

Why not ask instead for personal reference waypoints and lines that you can add to your map like the ones for the CV. Then when you are finished right click and choose clear all. Missions have these but, I very rarely see them used.

I actually would like to add and erase waypoints on my clipboard for my own personal use without having to use the mission editor.

Personal clipboard waypoints would be great.

Add to it (and especially in the mission planner) the distance of each leg. I know the sectors are 25x25 miles, but it would be handy to know the distance from "this point" to "that point" is 62 miles to make TOT calculations easier.

Haven't been able to play in a good while, but I definitely would love personal waypoints. If it could show you the angle of your deviation from the point, that would be amazing. Would help keep you pinpoint accurate on flightpath.

Just enabling the "Navigational Aid" for the map in the MA could be quite helpful. I wonder why it wasn't done.

It seems we've drifted from the protractor lol. I honestly don't mind how it is done, just a way to be able to pick our headings a little more accurately.

I like the idea of some additional navigation aids.

I recently turned that on in the TA. I don't know why it's not in the MA.

It would be nice if we could select it on the clipboard as a map option in any arena.
