Unfortunately there are those who wish there to be absolutely no fog-of-war aspect in this game, a.k.a. easy-mode.

No, thank you.

No.  I don't want to see that 70% of the players are in GV's.  :devil

Betcha there are times it's over 50% for a relatively sustained period though... ;)

I used to like the idea of GV Bardar, but I can see the downside.  It would give too much easy info on where to go to egg tanks.

Agreed. Would like to actually hunt for GV's.

The only map in rotation where I think it can come close to that is CraterMA, or for short periods at offpeak times.

On monthly average, ~24% of all players who are "inflight" are to be found in a GV (manned fild/ship guns excluded)

While we are at it!  move the mouse over a base and get the alt of any and every con coming in,, 10 t-34,s  two B-29's at 30k and 7 jugs @ 7 k

  NO!

sorry not realistic! GV's were not identified by radar at all In WW2,, had they rolled into GB  maybe,, but it never happened, and shouldn't happen here,,  the fact that the base flashes is more than anyone ever had in WW2
which is after all, what this game is "loosely" based on!

While there was no radar that covered tanks there were reports forwarded through channels reporting movements and approximate numbers.

I don't think there should be an accurate "darbar" that would give you numbers/size of the attack, but a light flashing in that sector to show there is ground movement in that sector. Numbers and location would be up to players to hunt down and figure out.

It was tough enough to GV when some had black boxes that showed your location from nearly 1/2 sector out whenver vox was active.

Now that it's been fixed, I'm not willing to drive two sectors just to have some guy spend 45 seconds to bomb me because the game has done away with the tactic called "stealth".

radars don't pick up gvs in real life, but a column of tanks don't go cross country unnoticed either

Hmmmmm lets see, base flashing, no dar bar....maybe just maybe you should up a A20 and check things out.......-1 to easy button :salute
How about a base flashing and there is a single slab on the red bar in the sector. What is it? a single con over the stratosphere, or a single con in the stratosphere and 20 GVs on the ground?

I don't think there should be an accurate "darbar" that would give you numbers/size of the attack, but a light flashing in that sector to show there is ground movement in that sector. Numbers and location would be up to players to hunt down and figure out.
Darbar is not accurate even for planes. You need to be able to tell the difference between 2 and 20 vehicles in the sector. If it is 2 3 or 4 it does not matter.

"Darbar" is a bad name because it is not really representing radar, even for planes. The dots represent the radar that gives exact location and nobody is asking for that for GVs. The bars are the general information about the order of forces as gathered by HQ from various sources.

In AH there are no radars or any form of intel modeled. Both the bars and the dots are gameplay aids to encourage the defenders to respond instead of having a game consisting of only milkruns.

If only GV's could see the GV bar.......and not visible from the tower. It might be a good addition, But since you can hear GV's within 3.5 k there really is no need.  Missions with M-18's would come to an end if someone could see a huge GV mission in bound. When a field starts flashing someone always lets everyone know.
Everything is funny as long as it is happening to somebody else.
