There are some maps with over 200 bases. When someone is talking about a base, when you are flying and incapable of searching a huge map, the ability to quickly find it would be very helpful. How is this anything close to "flying my plane for me" or "shoot the bad guy," pray tell? It's a handy tool for the map, not something that changes gameplay completely. Talk about a straw man, jeez.

.move doesn't work when flying... but .center would be .... real easy.

There is a work around, just open field status, click on the field and it turns white.

1. OP said when a call for help goes out you need to find base fast... dot.move### ...easy. You say flying around, what good whould this do to you to find this base fast if your "flying", you going to bail to help that base?

Uh, yes. Alternatively, bail to join a mission leaving from that base, land quickly to do the same. Is it really that unbelievable that one would have reason to wish to find something quickly on the map when they can't currently move there?

I proposed this too long ago as a .locate (base number).

Idea was shot down by the usual old guard players that do not want change.

Nevertheless it is a good idea Lusche.
