Enough is Enough
« on: May 01, 2013, 11:55:25 AM »
For the last five days I have been getting d/c from the serer LW. I have been d/c about 25 times.
some as many as 6 in a row and it is getting to the point where I am beginning to feel it is not
worth paying $15 a month for a game I can't enjoy to play because of the d/c. It started just after
the last up date and with HTC whatever they are doing with their servers. Please fix this problem!

Take note of hop #8.  There is packet loss occurring there.  That is in the PNAP (Public Network Access Point) in Los Angeles.  It is not uncommon for them to have problems, from time to time.

As I can only see the data going back to you, if you could post the trace from your location to 71.252.137.149, it would give us a complete picture.

I have already filed a bug report with the PNAP in Los Angeles, but we are not a direct customer, so it will not get priority attention.

Hi Skuzzy
I thought I'd add this, as it seems that I'm having the same loss and in the same place

While it is in Los Angeles, it is not at the PNAP, but in Level3's network.  Unfortunately, Level 3 is almost always going to suffer packet loss, more so than any other backbone provider due to them overselling their network, by a substantial margin.
