Cockpit Views
« on: May 03, 2013, 01:09:19 PM »
I'm sure it's been answered, but my initial search has come up dry... I'm curious as to how the F10 key works when saving views. I've only gotten so far as to set my head height to look above the gunsight, but i see others videos where their rear looking views are much better than what I'm used to as the defaults...

How does one customize their cockpit views?   Example:  move head to location save with F10 recall with what button?

You hold one if the view buttons, ex. The hat switch pulled back, then you set your head position, then hit F10. Now whenever you hit that view, your head will go to the position that was saved.

I hope that makes sense  :salute

Use the numeric keypad to pick view direction (4 = left, 4 & 5 = up left) then use the arrow, page up and page down keys to move your viewpoint.  Once it is where you have the best view you can get, hit F10 to save it.

It is specific to each airplane.

I find it easier to use the numeric keypad than the hat switch when setting up views.

Didn't there use to be a zip file of preset views in most planes?  Made by Murdr back in the day maybe?

To me, setting my views is like adjusting the seat and mirrors when I get in a car I didn't drive last.  I want to do it myself.
