NP, I know there's a cutoff.  :aok  But some of us gotta make a living, go to night school, and volunteer to help keep vintage aircraft flying.

tis fine. I took a g14 out today(finally got the tail slide/flip
down
pretty good) they can get down and dirt. 190 kills generally take time.

And boo, any way you can lower the bar to 35?

Well...we can lower the bar to 35 or how about you kill 5 more.

I chose 40 sort of out of respect for Richard Bong and the first time I did this I grouped about 20 sticks.

Aggressive or patient? The trick with the 190 is to start on good terms. That means climb to 15-17k, stalk your prey and make a good pass on them. That takes time, hence why I always up with 100% and a drop tank.

Patience even plays out when I up from a semi-capped field. I work to get 5-7k of altitude. With that altitude I have the E potential to deal with almost any situation, affords me plenty of time to zoom through the fight, lock onto to random fat American planes, etc.

Just my two cents.

:neener:  I am wayyyyyy to aggressive in that bird.  Trying to find the edge, and I push past it  :bhead.

When are we gonna wing up in the A5 again? Last time we did was a blast.  I promise  I will cover your six better, I have a few hundred more sorties under my belt  :neener:    :salute

 :huh

Heeeeeeeeeeeeell no.. take an A5 into a furball at around 10k max. :)

The A5 is the most maneuverable 190 (excluding the 152)...I like to take adv. of that when I do fly it. At a higher alt like 15-17k you may become proficient in aim, E management, and lineups when you dive...but you are really doing an injustice to the aircraft and yourself as it can do so much more.. Catch 'em off guard, no one expects a 190 to fight, I've killed more than a few spit's, 109's, etc. in an A5 because they never expected a 190 to reverse them, or out maneuver their spit...

My 2 cents anyways :)
