B-29 major bug(s)
« on: May 10, 2013, 04:01:31 PM »
Was flying a low sortie with support to carpet bomb a town.

Opened doors started drop and released about 20 bombs. I realized that my delay was too slow and shut the doors to stop the rest of my bombs dropping.

The first 20 bombs hit the ground and registered no damage.

Turned and made second pass with the correct delay set and these bombs recorded damage.  The bombs immediately started to drop as the doors reopened.

After the bombs finished dropping I got the 100 bombs dropped award even though I only dropped the 56 bombs that my single B 29 was carrying.
They call it "common sense", then why is it so uncommon?

Maybe 56 bombs fell both times?

Had you dropped bombs using other aircraft?       Accumulating those, plus the 56, might have pushed you over 100.

Title suggest more than 1 bug. Body not so clear on what they are.
Single plane or formation?
Did the second set of bomb start falling without a new command to drop?
As for the bombs falling before doors are open fully- nothing new. True with most if not all bombers
