They say "a picture is worth a thousand words", am I in?

Well that one is worth about 150 but that falls within the 100 word minimum.

Wish I could name them. Would be awesome to identify them all. One day perhaps. Need to get some good source material first. Found this one on a FB jug page.

(From the picture posted above)

Sitting (L-R): Darrell McMahan, 62nd; Dayton Sheridon, 62nd; Norwood Douglas, 63rd; Unknown; George Van Noy, 62nd; Billy Edens, 62nd; William McElhare, 62nd; Dick Warboys, 63rd; Eugene Timony, 63rd; George Bostwick, 62nd & 63rd; Charles Tucker, 62nd; Alexander Ferber, 63rd and Robert Magel.63rd. Sitting in cowling - currently unknown. Standing (L-R): James Lister, 63rd; Joe Curtis, 61st; Michael Jackson, 62nd; Jack Pierce, 62nd; and Jackie Carwell, 62nd. (Identified by Dick Warboys, 63rd FS on a visit to the 56th FG Museum at Halesworth.)

Placed under the 63rd FS section but in fact containing pilots from all three squadrons. (See enlargement for details). Despite the upper fuselage invasion stripes having been removed from the P-47, which would roughly date the photo as July 44; Charles Tucker was killed on 22 June 1944 in a mid-air collision with Mark Moseley. Tucker was flying 42-75282 LM-J_. The photo must therefore have been taken either on or shortly before 22 June.

Line up of pilots of 61st Fighter Squadron. Appears to be taken about July- August 1944 from the full D-Day stripes on the P-47's wings.
