Airbus A350 gets its paintjob
« on: May 14, 2013, 09:00:17 AM »
Beautiful aircraft. Not a direct competitor to the 787 though since its bigger. More of a 777 alternative. Perhaps the shorter A350-800 is meant to compete against the 787.

All modern, people moving commercial aircraft basically look the same.
I am not saying she isn't pretty, just not exceptional.

Personally I like the drooped nose look, the windshield with blacked out framing, and the curved winglets. You're of course right that all modern airliners are just flying aluminum/composite tubes with wings.

"Slinging blades" ?

I think Slingblade is talking about dramatic engine failure.

Which would be a valid argument if Airbus or Boeing actually made their own engines.
