I watched the collapsed Cyprus superstructure during the 89 Loma Prieta earthquake from my kitchen window along with the ground shaking so hard I couldn't stand up or walk straight. And the after shocks that initially weren't much better.
Have you ever been in an earth quake of that magnitude not knowing what will happen, or have any place to run away from what may happen to you? It's akin to being chained to a chair blind folded under an apartment building 5th story window. While renovation workers don't know you are down there randomly throwing debris and furniture out that window. The only thing you can do is grit your teeth and wait for it to end. Not a lot different than waiting out an air raid not knowing if your shelter is up to a direct hit.
You guys have some strange preoccupations. Want to banter around being shot or stabbed or buried or burned or falling off multi-pitch rock walls or attacked by dogs, bears, snakes or walking away from crashes or how the people you have known over 50 years finally met their ends? We mob up to protect our fairer posters perceived sensibilities then turn around and play trivial pursuit Saturday night live with things that destroy lives and kill people as realities of life.
And I bet none of you are aware 4prop is an active duty marine state side recovering from being shot recently. Now if anything is unfair, that rates up there higher than an earthquake. He kind of has a very pragmatic view on how to handle personality conflicts since he's given his all for us.
