I am doing a bare metal P40, flown by the Brazilian Air Force in World War II. Really beautiful bird. 

Bare Metal skins are gorgeous.

 Its looking good Kazan. One thing though, the panel lines seem to have highlights above rather than below them.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Karaya just asked me to make a 303 Sq Mustang for him a few weeks ago.  And I submitted it just recently.  I do apologize, I should have posted in the work in progress thread.






The other bad news is that plane "PD-D" is a post-war paint scheme.  303 Sq used the code "RF" until August 2, 1945 when they changed to "PD".  So any Mustang carrying a "PD" is going to be post-war.
Also PD-D was the CO Witold Lokuciewski's plane.  And he didn't become 303 Sq CO till February 1946.  So it's definitely post-war.


And so I'm not a total jerk, here's some P-51 reference images I've used.

Kazan my Polish brother, my sincerest of apologies.   We exchanged Pm's a while ago and things were left up in the air.  I take full blame in this matter because you can appreciate the motivation.   Your skin(s) are gorgeous and this one is no exception.  I appreciate your friendship.

Cactus.   We exchanged some Pm's and weighed the options of which Wartime Bird to better utilize and in turn skin.  Your skin is drop dead gorgeous and much appreciated by the Squad/everyone else.

My hat is off to both of you and I cannot thank you enough.

Kazan, I could build your skin in with a couple AvA terrains, making it the default P-51 skin on those terrains.  I'd hate to see all that work go to waste.  Let me know.
