No, I'm saying global chat is enabled by default in EW and MW, and I don't like poor sports on the other teams razzing me.  Of course, people in LW can send a PM if they just want to cause grief, but it is very rare in my experience.  Like I said it is a minor complaint.

You should be able to filter out the ALL channel.  Right click on the chat tab and select Edit (I think that's the option) and select what channels you want to filter out so you don't see them.

Cool, thanks.

Sorry to go off track.  Personally I don't think that dealing with a limited set of aircraft one day a month is going to have people logging off in droves.  Some people won't play if they don't get exactly what they want, but I think they are in the minority.  If I have my heart set on some CV-related action, and we happen to get that map with no water, then I'll log off and go do something else until either the map resets or I get in the mood for some non-CV-related action.

The war goes on just fine without me, and I think it will go on just fine with the small percentage of people who discover they can't fly their favorite P-51D/LA-7/Spit XVI and log off.
