Squad Attendance for June 2013
« on: June 27, 2013, 11:19:22 AM »

Thanks once again to all the squads who made their attendance numbers this month.  It really helps the C-in-C's to plan each Frame.   :salute

Looks like a couple of squads need to take a serious look at their commitment levels and their actual turnout, then make the proper adjustments. Going over or under once or twice happens, but doing it consistantly is not right.

I'm curious, if a squad has more people show up than expected, and instead of piloting a plane they ride as a gunner/observer, does this still count as over the limit?

No, this should not count toward your numbers as no additional aircraft were launched, then allocated.  Therefore aircraft numbers are still in check.  Alternate solution (which I believe is legal, correct me if I'm wrong CM's) and the one that tends to work for the extra squaddies best, is try and place them with a supporting squad (eg. on same strike, or same defence) that may be low on numbers. They'll have to switch squads for the night, but it's far better then riding along in most cases. Not only does this allow them to still fly, but also help with coordination between squads.  Obviously this is best if set up prior to Friday night, but sometimes you get a large turnout un-expectedly.  This still keeps plane numbers in check for the side.

No the #s levels refer to planes rolled. You can have extras ride along if you want to as gunners or observers. If you exceed the limit it is the responsibility of the squad CO to make sure the limits are not exceeded. We use the over under rule of +2/-2 in other words you can go over by 2 or under by 2 but that's it.
