I was about 41:8 in the Jug D-30 last tour.  Pretty good for me.  Score wise, Tour 12 was my best ever though.  69:14 in the D-25, yeah baby.  One of these days I'm really gonna try to nurse my score just to see how I do.  I kindof did in Tour 12, I really didn't do much of the silly stuff in the Jug.  It's really great to be able to separate your score for certain planes though.  It lets me do all the silly stuff in the Kitty or another plane, and I can save my Jug for when I really want to fly A2A and track my stats separately for that bird.  It's very nice.

I don't know where you guys find the time to fly this freakin' much.  Don't you guys like... work and stuff?  I'm luckly to grab a few hours a week.

Wow I made it to the top 10 list of something besides "Top 10 dicks in AH".
I have been reborn a new man!

Notice I never said a better man.

Hey DV, you post the stats for "Top 10 dicks in AH" yet??

And this is different from the Top 10 G-10 pilots in what way?

GRUNHERZ and Apache, I'll get you two added to the list.

Its kinda funny, I went through so much name grabbing that they all turned into a blur.  As I was actually building the list, I'd get done and look at it and think "This doesn't look right".  I did it on the P-51 and thought "Where the hell is hangtime"... then I added him (funny thing is he made the F6F-5 list and not the P-51D ).. then I got done with the P-47-D30 list and said "Where the hell is Frenchy?".. then had to add him.  I got done with the P-38 list and said "Ah.. bug322 had to be here somewhere".  I think that speaks volumes for those particular pilots.

<S> I admire your effort Deja!

The only stat I pay attention to is the K/S.
I don't have the time that many have here to fly, so I try to make it count when I do.

Also, the kills per time stat...what do you all think of that as a barometer of ability and skill? Never have understood why its used.

Nice work Deja...thanks for the effort

I pay attention to most of them.  Unfortunately, the tools aren't there to do a more in-depth analysis for pilots in each aircraft.  I'd really like to include gunnery %, kills/time and kills/sortie into the equation too.

That said, I also believe that no combination of score is indicative of a pilots ability in a plane.  I know almost instantly when I run up against certain pilots in certain planes.  Its not by looking at their score.. its by looking at me getting my bellybutton handed to me yet again.  But if the pilot is constantly doing it amongst hordes of enemy planes.. the score won't reflect his abilities.

Still.. the numbers are fun to look at

<S> DejaVu. My post was not to cause you more work or to toot my own horn. It's just that I wanted to make a point and I see that we agree. Some of the best pilots here who hand me my arse on a regular basis aren't in the top 100. I do decent here but Lord knows I don't belong in a "Top (Anything)" list.

You're right tho, the numbers are fun to look at. Appreciate the effort.

The scores are for pilots who care about their score.  I look at hit% more than anything, I think it is the one stat that indicates a good pilot. It also shows who sprays and prays.  A guy can have 100 kills and 100 deaths, but if his hit % is high like .10% or more, I take heed, he's a dangerous foe.

IMHO, a C-Hog or Niki guy with 100 kills and 100 deaths (and a 10% average hit ratio) is still a green pilot, dangerous only for the first and only guy unlucky enuff to fly within 1,000yds from him.

I reading my stat in all direction but I cannot understand how I've been in the Typhoon list ...
As I love furballing/jaboing with this beast it's not the good way to survive.

<edit> just understood it's pure Fighter/Fighter stat I did not take into account my numerous crash in the CV
