Hmm, it's not that hard to fly in game with half a wing, 1 stab and no rudder...wonder if this is "realistic".

The damage shown visually is not the same as the damage the flight model is using for lost lift.

Here is another one for you.  Kanichi Kashimura on his return from a combat sortie in Shanghai after a mid-air collision. He had to circle the field several times before crash landing it on his airfield.  He walked away from the landing.
