Im looking for a solution for both flying and racing. A back injury is really limiting my gaming time yet I havnt found a way to make something work yet for both, and without buying a bunch of new stuff...monitors...ect. I saw this for racing that I like http://www.wheelstandpro.us/servlet/the-4/Steering-Wheel-Stands-for/Detail but I'd prefer one setup for both.

i have back problems also but have been able to play in the chair i posted i did make a couple of modifications 1st being a large guy i hand trouble getting in
and out of the chair because of the center steering/joystick holder i solved this by removing the 4 bolts and putting 2 hose clamp on front it now tilts
forward i can get in and out easy.then i bought a small clip board from the dollar store and slid it in the 1 inch gap in the holder clip part in srping holds it in
makes perfect mouse pad. working on keyboard mount next for now it sits on computer back.orderd a wall mount swivel out tv monitor holder holds up to 40 inch
will swivel monitor to 1 foot infront of joystick i think even if my eyesight fades i will still be able to kill you. :old:

I highly recommend the Obutto... base system is very affordable and highly customizable. You can even go crazy with it like I did:

fulcrum,   would you be so kind as to list the complete parts for your pit?  I am interested in that system and would love to find out how much ot i have to do :).

Cheap office style chairs don't last long... I've had a couple which still look like brand new after half a decade, but their center shaft got curved almost immediately. I only weigh some 80 kg/160 lbs so that shouldn't be the reason why. The current one cost about five times that much and is totally intact.

I've got an older system by today's standards that still runs the game well by my standards.
