You're joking but.....    That material was only used in the wings and stabs.      And the tanks had self sealant, why so many fires, sheesh.

My F6F should have indestructible wings...and tail...and cockpit...and ahh you know what? Make the whole thing invincible.

I've always assumed the vulnerability of the guns in the F6F was simply that the wing is relatively strong compared to other aircraft, so the same damage in say a Spit would have taken the whole wing off instead.

I've been flying the F6F lately and it's one hell of a fun ride. Didn't really have any problems with taking damage. My only gripe with it is it's slow but I don't care, I'm always on the deck under 200mph anyways.  :airplane:

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

Igot a good chuckle last night as a couple of people I encountered in the sky were trying to dogfight with 190A5's. It was hilarious. They were flying it like it was a turn fighter. I played with him for 10 minutes until I let him dive toward the field ack. I then vulched him on landing. Heehee
when I'm down to 10minutes of fuel I frequently turn and burn with everything but the turnys. For them I just pull an immelman or hi yo-yo :t
