The SPCA is probably gonna picket my house for beating this dead horse again. As it is, they threw Borscht all over my front steps about the "Big Cocker" pull thingy in the Yaks. Someone gave them the idea I was abusing big cocker spaniels from Russia.
Thank you HTC for fixing that graphics over sight.
The Wish:
HTC is there at the least a way to separate tracers on\off from aircraft, vehicles, and manned guns at the minimum in the clipboard flight options?
OR
For each hanger selection plane, GV or gun. An individual check box at the initial hanger selection screen?
I've begun to find that tracers help with manned guns and wirbel\osti but, nose mounted cannon, they are a distraction, and wing mounted guns they help correct the IP point cloud. Surprisingly in the IID it makes me more accurate and historically correct by ranging with the .303s till I get flashes then tap the 40mm.
Over the years others have asked for some variation on this based on their play choices. At a decade into the game, I cannot come up with unintended consequences to overall game play for the community other than what has always existed. Not seeing the HO happen, misjudging the break turn moment for not seeing tracers, not seeing bomber guns firing, not seeing wirbel\osti firing hidden on the end of the runway.
There are already text flat files holding info for each aircraft's convergence (aircraftX.cfg). A line reflecting tracers on or off possibly. Or the flight.cfg flat file, three tracers on\off lines (aircraft\vehicle\gun) reflecting the clipboard flight options. From the client side I can see the possible mess of generating again that many more flat files just to hold on\off info for each (aircraft\vehicle\gun) if it's not possible to add to the purpose of an existing flat file in this case.
