I review a fight sent to me by ammo. If you have a fight you'd like me to review then read the description of the video. It'll tell you what to do.

Why are we watching this guy win?

There's much less to learn from victory.

The last review; better by far.

He wanted my opinion on this fight, so I gave my opinion. I'm not going to say no to anyone who wants to improve their skills.  :aok

@Dolby: One guy won the fight, one guy didn't.    Just because the person who submitted the film ultimately "won" doesn't mean there isn't anything to learn.  The K4 didn't win the fight, but probably should have.  He had the bounce and the advantage.  Why didn't he win?  What were his mistakes?  Look at it from that perspective, and I think you will find there is more to learn from this fight than just "watching a guy win".  Latrobe does address some of these points in the film.

@Latrobe:  I still think that section of film where the K4 is flying entirely lag and misses a great crossing shot setup at 00:35 might be useful to demonstrate.  Perhaps show a little of the film from the K4's perspective.  There is something to be said there about flying solely to avoid the overshoot and potentially missing opportunities to transition to a lead angle (for an ideal K4 crossing shot).

I think it might be nice to get some of our resident tater experts (and those who understand plane-form shots can be better than dead six shots) to chime in.

My two pennies.

Good work, Latrobe!

It's a good thing the K4 wasn't very good with his gunnery then. :noid  I find this quite nice though.  Hope to see more! :salute

Ammo should have rolled over during the cross shot the K4 had, if the K4 was any good with his aim ammo would have been towered. Rolling over the tater shot is a simple solution in a cross shot. Besides that, great film.

Latrobe,  hanks for taking the time to do this review.  I appreciate it.

Couple of things from my perspective. This fight happened in the SEA in a no icon event.  This makes it even more difficult to maintain SA, especially with someone as easily distracted as me.  Literally, the first I knew he was there was when I heard his cannon over the drone of my engine.  My guess is he dove on me from a substantial altitude advantage and was likely on the edge of compression, which is why he missed his first shot.

He had the initial advantage and maintained it through the first minutes of the battle, and if his gunnery had been on, I was a goner.

Thanks again.  I have a bunch I films where I was shot down.  I would be happy to send them your way if you have the time and desire to review them.

Nice review Latrobe (also nice fighting ammo). I like the new graphics you added. Any clue why the video gets compressed to a square format on youtube?

No idea. It probably has something to so with the ahfilm viewer not being able to record in 1080p. I'd need to play the video in full screen to get 1080p and the ahfilm viewer doesn't go full screen unless you have the video pause.
