August 2013 - Frame 1 Allied and Axis Objectives
« on: August 04, 2013, 10:56:55 AM »

ALLIED C-in-C:
Frame 1 - August 02, 2013:  The Unforgiven
Frame 2 - August 09, 2013:  327th Steel Talons
Frame 3 - August 16, 2013:  334th FS "The Eagles"

AXIS C-in-C:
Frame 1 - August 02, 2013:  VF-17 Jolly Rogers
Frame 2 - August 09, 2013:  353rd Fighter Group
Frame 3 - August 16, 2013:  Army of Muppets

In Frame 1, the following seven RAF airbases (three large, four small) must be defended by the RAF and attacked by the Luftwaffe:

base name map sector size
=== ==== ======= ====
A46 Manston  12-11-9 small
A42 West Malling  11-11-5 small
A32 Hornchurch  10-12-6 large
A40 Kenley  10-11-5 large
A62 Tangmere  9-10-5 large
A58 Lee on Solent  8-10-5 small
A52 Warmwell  6-10-3 small

Damage dealt to airbases other than these seven will score NO points for the Luftwaffe.  Accurate navigation is important!

Each side's C-in-C is required to email their orders to me BEFORE distribution, for a very brief review.  I promise to be prompt.

This event is little unusual among FSO designs, in that one side is purely on defense (RAF) while the other is purely on offense (Luftwaffe). The RAF scores points by shooting down enemy planes.  The Luftwaffe scores points by either destroying ground targets or enemy planes. If I've done my homework correctly, the victory point value of all the RAF bases under attack is about equal to the victory point value of all the Luftwaffe bombers.

For basing squadrons, all of Britain is open to the RAF.  They may base aircraft at any friendly airbase.  Aircraft may rearm and refuel at any friendly airbase.  The naval fleets do not figure in this event.

All of the airbases on the European continent are available to the Luftwaffe.  Aircraft may rearm and refuel at any friendly airbase.

Both Axis fighters, the Bf-109 and the Bf-110, may be based at any Axis airbase.

The three Axis bombers (Ju-87 "Stuka", Ju-88, He-111) may only be based at the following airbases:

Ju-87 "Stuka" airbases:

      Calais area:
          A116
          A109
          A108
          A101
          A100
          A95
          A93
      Cherbourg/Caen area:
          A139
          A140
          A123
          A157
          A133
          A134
          A124

Ju-88 and He-111 airbases:

      Amiens/Lille area:
          A119
          A113
          A104
          A103
          A105
      Le Havre/Rouen area:
          A126
          A127
          A121
          A122
      Dinan area:
          A2
