Jagpanzer 38 (t) views and tracks
« on: July 28, 2013, 08:15:32 AM »
besides the lack of commander view ( how do I see my gear, speed orientation etc?)

The views are not centered correctly on this vehicle, the machine-gun default view is not aligned with the sight, and the main gun's default ranging seems way off..

I took one in the MA and this tank is still able to rotate to some point with a single track damaged...I don't know if it's by design.

HTC has taken the position that [paraphrased] "there is no TC view afforded to these turretless TD's".  Why?  I'm not certain because all of the AFV's had a commander regardless, and he usually had a pair of binocs (which the zoom is still modeled), first hand knowledge of the direction and speed of the AFV (either directly or via voice remote), and he knew how many rounds were left, or had been fired from the main gun.

The Jagd AFV's only show the position of the main gun to the hull while in the gunner's view.  Not an issue. But I agree, I wish there was a way for the TC to be able to see the gear, speed, gun vs hull alignment, and ammo count just as the tanks do.

As far as the Hetzer and Jagdpanzer IV 70 and moving with 1 track damaged, that should certainly be the case.

It's always been this way.  With one track damaged, the AFV can move slowly, but only in a circle.
