I went AFK in a ta152, came back and was at 40+ k

Was AFK in a D11 and wound up over 40k.  Figured I'd find the limit.  With full ammo, this was about as high as it was gonna go:

Maybe with WEP, you could squeeze a little bit more.
"Then out spake brave Horatius, the Captain of the gate:
To every man upon this earth, death cometh soon or late.
And how can man die better, than facing fearful odds.
For the ashes of his fathers and the temples of his Gods."

I did get the 163 up to 100k in the main arena the other day but it was taking advantage of a bug during a disco that gave you full fuel when you returned so it doesn't really count.

It cost me 150 perks but watching the 163s that ran away after upping to discover a 163 over thier own HQ instead of bombers and shooting down a p38 before channel 200 lit up was well worth it even if I blew the landing when someone turned the cv on short final.

I didn't realize disco would stop filming so I missed getting the over 100k footage.

Both the AR234 and the A6M3 pics here are also from bugs I discovered and exploited once or twice before sending in film to htc that have since been fixed.

The 163 at 95k was done taking off from a 500 foot elevation field in the training arena but the 1.0 fuel burn does not affect the me163......it's no bug and can be done in the main arena.

I consider that one legit.

If you want records, there should be some requirements concerning which arena and am all for having only main arena or WWI arenas count toward any records.

There was a BBs challenge once as to how high you could get in a Me163.  Offline I was able to reach somewhere over 95K when my entire plane dissapeared from my view.

The trick in the 163 at that alt is that it's both stalling from lack of airflow and shuddering from high speed so you have to walk a tightrope to keep it climbing.

Also, at 90K the AH terrain dissapeared meaning instruments only then, as I said, at about 95K the entire cockpit dissapeared.

I was, however, able to keep control, descend and land which was also part of the challenge.

Stall / VnE in a U2 was something like 8 knots at altitude. Amazing those guys could fly such a fine line!

And BE stated he got 95k, so icepacs claim is untrue?

It's only a superficial 5k, coincidence that's also about the maximum difference in airfield (starting) altitudes?

As I said, I was offline taking off from the standard NDIsles center island field (sea level).
