I think it would be nice that while your plane is flying throug clouds your dot disappear from Dar. If you are hidden inside them it doesn't make any sense that enemies can go directly to you as if they were guided by a GPS to your exact position. I guess could be treated as NOES. IT would giveve you more excitement and realism to the game. It soul be great for bombers, fighters and missions as well. Hope you find it interesting.

During the time period of which our a/c in AH are based, 1939 to 1945, early warning radar systems had no way of filtering out clouds and rain showers. If a cloud formation had a lot of moisture in the cloud, it would show up as a green glob on the radar and most a/c could not be seen while they were in the cloud. While some a/c were equipped with IFF, Identification, Friend or Foe, in late 44 and the rest of the war, unless the ground radar transmitter had a method of interrogating the IFF, the target aircraft would still be shown as a primary target, which could and did, hide in weather. With the improvement in radar systems in late 40's, thru out 50's and 60's, air traffic controllers or warning radar system could filter out the rain showers, so that even primary targets could be seen.
In todays world, the controllers can shut down all weather related problems with radar returns, but the draw back to that is that they might just put you in a thunderstorm without realizing it, and that could be fatal, depending on the kind of a/c you are in.
