I LOVE that box/square design, i modeled a 3d gun like that for quakeII yeaaars ago, made a nice sniper rifle. If only they could get those things to function with more power.

I sure they will  that dude made it in his basement, if a company throws huge money into it who knows what will happen.

It's only weakness is laptop screen armour.

A rifled barrel would go a long way to keep them from lobbing out tumbling.  I think my nail gun shoots straighter.

I dunno. If you ask me, direct energy weapons will be man portable before anyone dumps enough money into this.

Normal bullets seem to work quite well, as well as normal guns

     I could see a use for this, notice the lack of noise and muzzle flash.

He will have to change the materials to greatly stronger stuff if he wants more muzzle velocity.

Newton's third law of motion dictates the gun itself is subject to at least the amount of energy imparted to the projectile but there is far more energy and force going on within the gun than what is imparted to the projectile.

The current rail/gauss guns really want to split more than they want to fire a projectile.
