Hi all.

What does this Gator program do? i know it saves passwords but is this program an security issue if you are connected to the net?

Look in the Hardware and Software forum.  Lots of info there about it and how to remove it.

Ya, i saw some post about it in that forum but they all djust told how you removed "gator" and not what it does. I know it saves your password but how is it an security danger?

I didn't really get into what it does to be honest.  It's some password thing.  The real issue is that it gets installed wether you want it or not, if you install RW.  The other thing is that it comes with "offer companion" or some other crap that runs in the background.  That's the real issue for us online gamers, the last thing we want is programs running in the background and doing stupid toejam like downloading advertising while we're on the tail of a bad guy!

All I know is anything that gets installed without my approval is evil.  Ad-Aware is great, and allows me to detect and remove all of this crap in one smash.  It's amazing how much gets installed without your knowledge.  At least Gator told you it was going to be installed.
