From Flench down, not 1 word said on post topic!
To get back on topic from the Muppet hijacking, here's what I offer up. Every so often someone comes to the BBS and always has some big idea on how HiTech should run his business. For the life of me I can't understand why people do that. It's his business...not mine, ours or yours. We have no clue what goes on in HiTech's head, what his business plan or goals are, nor should we care. It's none of our business.
Maybe he doesn't want 40 thousand subscribers to have to deal with. Maybe he's comfortable with the money the game is making and doesn't want to drop 10s of thousands of dollars on advertising and such. He just got married a few years ago and has a couple of little babies on top of that, so maybe he's kicking back enjoying life and letting the business sit on cruise control for a while.... Hell for all I know he might have a 2nd job at McDonald's and is just too tired when he gets home to fool with all of this. Who knows.

All I know is if some guy walked into my shop telling me how to run my business I'd probably be insulted and run his arse out the door. HiTech and crew have been doing this kind of thing long before I ever knew how to fire a computer up and I'm sure he understands the market for this kind of game a lot better than the average player. I'm almost positive the man has done his homework as far as what direction he wants to take it. Who am I to tell the man what he should or should not do to be successful. He's already achieved more in life than 95% of us around here. So I'd say he knows what he wants and how to get there.....wouldn't you?

P.S. sorry to the OP if this post sounds grouchy. It's not meant to be. Just expressing my opinion. I'm told I'm grouchy when I'm tired (and I'm exhausted)....been a long day.  :salute

Other than the "already achieved more in life than 95% of us around here." I am a +1.  :aok

That did sound grouchy.

HiTech doesn't need any help defending himself.  Having met him and after he kindly allowed me to waste 2.5 hours of his time, I find him to be a fan of the accuracy of the flight model and game first and business model second.  I suspect that's why it's survived and why it's base of followers is so steadfast.  The runs scored is the business but the ball is the game and if you keep your eye on the ball, the runs will be plated.

He's scoring runs.

Again I apologize for my seemingly rude post. I do admit I need to work on my tactfulness when replying to some posts.I'm not the most eloquent of speakers in the world for sure.  But HiTech never defends himself in these types of posts. I have no idea why I felt the need to defend him other than I just find telling someone how to run a already successful business insulting. I don't know man maybe it's just me but I had to get that off my chest as no one else ever says anything.

P.S. I like your baseball analogy ChangeUp...is quite fitting coming from you  :lol :aok

Fighter Ace folks, how did you learn of, decide to try, then decide to keep playing Fighter Ace?  It would be interesting to see if that is similar to how it is in Aces High or different.
Also, how many people were typically playing Fighter Ace at its peak hours?
Thanks in advance for any info on these items.

This is what prompted me to post topic. A question from a HiTech employee.
Uppy,
Please show me where I told HiTech that they were doing something wrong, in this thread, I'd really like to see the printed text. Like others, you ignored the topic and in your case tried to belittle moi. The idea that AH does not want to increase its client base is ludicris. You afraid of more competition I guess.
Brooke asked the question for a reason!

What is the wishlist? Telling AH in an offhand manner that they should be doing something different, and the wishlist is AH's idea.

You had nothing positive to say, maybe you should have said nothing.

I guess its my own fault for giving a dam. I was flying FA till the server was shut down and my screen went blank. Very sad day. I had AH to turn too.
May you never see the same in AH. There is nothing to turn too.
 :joystick:

ps: do some math, say 3000 peeps x $14.95/mth= $44850/mth. I do not know the actual number of paying customers, illustration.

Now lets say 10-20 employees x a reasonable paycheck to live on=prolly more than $44000/mth. again an illustration.
Again the idea that AH does not want to increase client base......................... ............................

Just to make sure my opinions or questions aren't given more weight than they deserve:  I'm not an HTC employee, just a player who loves the game and volunteers time to help with special events (Scenarios and "This Day in WWII").

Now lets say 10-20 employees

The HTC staff roster is displayed on the splash screen.
