there was also a new damage model added, new graphics, new planes.  not sure what else you need to make it a new version.

Strat redesign would be a good place to start........................ .. :pray


was helping rooks sneak a base next to enemy starts yesterday off of a CV. Thought to myself, "woot going to get some major strat milking in". Then was reminded that when we take base, strats move to the rear.  :frown: :mad: :cry :furious

ok and the strats were redone to one big one as they had been requested for years.  now everybody wants them to go back to the original zone strats.

No strat redesign necessary for that. Just disable the evacuation routine, which has a negative impact on gameplay. Instead of creation hot spots that are viciously being fought over, you have 'cold places' that neither the attacker really wants to capture, nor the defender wants to defend or recapture.  :bhead

You didn't play AH1 then? It was like night and day difference.

I played ah2 on a gateway 420 dual core with a 8400 gs vc.  when the new version came out, I also upgraded my computer, I played both with a new computer that was way better than the gateway.  play both versions with it, they were like night and day.

I started somewhere around tour 74 or 76. I believe it was just a couple months before AH2 came out. It was several months after the flying PT boat con whenever that was. I do remember the RVs with guns from hell con.....wasn't that during AH1?

I started somewhere around tour 74 or 76. I believe it was just a couple months before AH2 came out.


AH2 came out long time before that, in 2004. The effective switchover was around tour 53.

oh okay, I always thought the massive graphic overhaul we had with the bases being redesigned and all was when AH2 began. My bad.  :salute

We are currently playing Aces High not Aces High II.
