It is sad to see irresponsibility such as that.  Destruction of property by any means is a sad deal.

I'm so very glad I belong to a private club. Being able to drive up, swipe to card over the reader and have the gate open is a nice touch. Also knowing that when I get around the berm I'm not going to have the local ghetto monkeys sporting their baggy pants and irresponsible behavior is a nice feeling as well. My range caps membership at 250 people and the members need to be very careful or else they are shown the door.  The $50 a year is a steal for membership dues considering the security, the variety of ranges to shoot at (pistol 5-25yd, rifle 25-300yd), etc.

We cap ours at 500.   Our son enjoys the archery side of things now, so I am going to try and get him a beginner's compound.    Although, he does like recurves.

Do you live in some podunk town where you never have any problems? Have you ever gone to a range with a large metro population nearby? Here often there is a wait even in 100degrees to get a lane. If so, then I can understand your unfamiliarity with ppl misbehaving at one, otherwise you're intentionally being obtuse for what reason I'm unaware.

I'm not talking about sportsman's club or these public shooting ranges that are unsupervised. Furthermore, I wouldn't be attending any public/unsupervised range. With all the gangbangers in Phoenix, it very well could become the wild west at one. And not in the so called fantasy way that you believe I for some reason live in.

Errors in my post, so which LEO you want me to call to discuss it with, I have numerous LEO friends here in AZ, a couple in CA, and an Uncle in IL, which one shall I discuss with? Which error?

I'm trying to spell it out clearly for you since you seem to have comprehension problems, but I can't find the article where we had a Range Master shoot a misbehaving patron at the range I visit most frequently. You know the reason why I can't find the article in a cursory web search: http://www.azcentral.com/community/scottsdale/articles/20120826scottsdale-gun-club-shooting.html

Gangbangers in Scottsdale/Phoenix?   :rofl   You seem to be lost.   I am not obtuse.  I am not unfamiliar and I am not failing to comprehend.    My sportsman club is private, i.e., not for the general public.   You only have assumptions and you've been wrong the entire time.

Ask the LEO's what the repercussions of pointing a firearm at someone would garner them.  Because I can tell you regardless of the state, you're screwed and that has been the only ignorant thing that sparked this whole thing.   Now you have dug a deeper hole and I feel bad for you.   Fellow gun owners should stand up for each other, but as a Range Officer myself, good luck.

Our Club had a murder two years ago.   He bragged in prison serving 20 w/ poss. of Parole, now he will be getting Life w/o.

the range we used when I was a kid almost was closed due to all the littering see video

my dad and I and about 10 of us spent a whole day cleaning this crap up just so the city of colorado springs didnt close it down, just to be trashed the following week.  I had a guy messing with a gun while I was down range there, just a dangerous place to shoot.  I enjoyed shooting on Ft. Carson when we were allowed to shoot there, the MPs kept everyone in line as far as safety goes.  Private ranges are nice, my friend took me to his club range, had a 600 yard range with a pits, which is cool if any of you have never seen this here is a vid of it

Coombz:  I was told to consult with a LEO by another poster, reread if you missed it.

Masher: Where did I say I was in Scottsdale, or that the range I was referring to is??? The link I posted is for a Scottsdale club and I posted, AS I STATED, those unfortunate events obscure me finding the link to the shooting of patron at the range I go to north of the valley. I don't live in Scottsdale, and if you don't think there are gangbangers in Phoenix you're severely ignorant.  Yah, no gangbangers in a metro area of 5 million ppl. But since you brought Scottsdale up, there absolutely none in south Scottsdale/Tempe either   :aok    mmmmk

Reading comprehension: it apparently is not for everyone.

IIRC there was an argument between patrons which led to the shooting of a patron by a G&F Range Master. But whatever, you go to your range where you think careless and unsafe practices are ok, and I'll keep mine where they're all business and no fooling around.

They're casting their bait over there, see?

Anything more than light messing around is likely going to be met with a Master's sidearm pointed at your face.

Go ahead and think that this would happen champ.

every single post you make confirms my impression of you as the worst kind of human being

I dont know about that. Its probably just Hubris and the guy wont back down from what any gun owner or PO knows is just the wrong thing to say. And what he probably knows is wrong. You dont usually find Gangster Disciples, Crips, Bloods, Latin Kings...ect at public ranges. Why go there when you can just practice in the alley?

Pointing a gun at someones head is a serious thing and no PO is going to do that for a safety mistake at a range.
