Deleting Files From Windows 7

Well.. I bought the computer, set it up, and it is telling me I do not have the privs to delete things like McAffe antivirus, and other programs that are using up resources that I don't need.

Whats the deal?  How do I get around this?

If the computer has the demonstration Operating System you may need to contact the seller. I know Best Buy will re-image a computer's OS with a standard non-demo (not for store display), I believe they charge extra for this option.

You don't just delete an antivirus. You must uninstall it from the control panel.

And in some cases....Norton for example, you have to go to their site and download their uninstall tool before you can totally get rid of it. And then I'm not sure if it's 100% wiped out.  :rolleyes:

When you have Norton, you don't need to get viruses anymore. Your system is already porked.  :x

The free version of Revo Uninstaller will remove programs whose uninstaller doesn't work for some reason.
