How about this? Drone buff mission.

Lots of us have copious amount of perk points that are left unused, here is one way of how to spend them.

Firstly any perk point category can be used, fighter, bomber, vehicle etc.

From a drop down list you select the bomber type, fuel and ordance load out, cruise altitude, departure field, the target field, the secondary target, and what is to be destroyed at those fields, primary, secondary eg. radar, ammo

Then using a system similar to the cv waypoint selection, create the route to your target. The drones will continue to climb to the selected target altitude, but if they dont reach it by the time they get to the field they drop from whatever height they happen to be..

Once they reach cruise altitude they set the cruise speed listed in the E6B (not full throttle). They continue on the plotted course. They have no AI defence, but the can be joined, say by having the drones marked on the clipboard player ID_D. Once you join you can only man the guns, no pilot or bombaimer position is available.

If they reach the field and the selected primary obj is destroyed they attack the secondary obj. They continue to attack the primary field until the obj is destroyed or their ord is exhausted. Any ord left they move on to secondary field and repeat.

Once they've completed their objectives they return to base via the previous route.

This system would be an ENY based system, base points 100, so in the low numbers people would have some targets to shoot at, but with higher numbers its less likely that people will be sending off drone missions as the cost rises. Even if the player who runs the mission logs off they drones will continue on to their target, just they will be undefended as they only way to join them will be for that player to accept you into the drones as a gunner.

They're called staged missions....

Are you asking for staged missions in the main arenas?

Starting next week we will be running staged missions in AvA. I will be running them on Tuesday evenings and possibly some mornings as well.
