110 Sinks Cruiser
« on: August 24, 2013, 09:28:47 PM »
Just had a strange experience in MW. We were shelling a base with the cruiser, when a 110 comes out and in 1 strafing pass sinks it?! Is that normal? Didn't know the 110 had it in them. :headscratch:

If the ME-110 dropped 2k worth of ords and hit the cruiser, or if the ME-110 dropped an amount of ords that strafing helped to add up to 2K ords,
or, if the cruiser had been hit previously and the Me-110 dropped, or strafed a sufficient amount of ord that added up to the amount of ord necessary to sink the cruiser in its weakened state, it is possible.

It only takes 2K to sink the Cruiser, or any destroyer...but 8K to sink the CV.

...just some thoughts.

I have sank a cv while straffing with with b26's.  the key is I had already caused a lot of damage with bombs.

I remember a brew strafing down our cruiser a few weeks back  :rofl

While I understand that obviously it was hit before the brew attacked, 30 and 50 cals should do NOTHING to any ship, except a PT boat.

I think ships shouldn't take damage from anything smaller than 20-30mm rounds

Odd, I recall seeing a gun cam shot of fighters strafing and sinking an Axis DD. :headscratch:  Having hell trying to find that footage though...

Wow I find it hard to believe it has been almost 38 days since our last path. We should have release another 38 versions by now  :bhead

Pappy Boyington did it with a hangover, down to just two machine guns, and taking a nap while RTB.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

I've seen Torquila killing a cruiser with his 410.

I was in the 8 inch guns once and a 109 sunk the ship  :headscratch: I was sitting in the guns for a good 10 min waiting for the town to come in range before starting to fire on it and the ship was not hit by anything wile I was on it except the 109  :huh Could have been hit before I got on it but all the guns were up when I jumped in the 8 inchers.

Two 500kg bombs, 4 very large rockets, 2x20mm and 2x30mm all at the same time is a pretty withering amount of firepower.

I could have sworn I knocked down a cruiser with 2 500'rs a few years back.

I got the killing blow on a CV with a single AP round from a Panther once....pretty silly.

Well I can't argue with the facts, 2k will take it down. However you have to admit, in real life there is no way that would happen. I guess it's time for the "wish list". :D

I have hit the cruisers with the B25H cannon 4 & 5 times without sinking it. :cry

Thanks for the feedback all.
