Ships vs. Radar

When does the radar get taken out for a CV group (when the CV is taken out?)?

Since many destroyers, cruisers and battleships had radar should it not stay up if any ships are still up?

Actually, all you have to do is drop a bomb in the middle of the CV to knock out the dar, I believe it takes the same amount of ords as the dar tower at a base. When the CV is "lit" the dar is out.
