Hellcat and early Corsair to be prominently featured in the "Invasion of the Philippines" set up.  Ask and ye shall receive...within reason, of course ;).

Within reason, eh?  So no IJN dive bombers or torpedo bombers???   ;)  I wanna shoot at my girls Kate, Val, Judy and Jill!

Ki61`s kick F6f and early Corsair butt!  Those planes are nice.    :)

Nice centrally located twin cannon, turns great and best of all, rolls and turns like a demon at high speeds.

It`s like a slightly slower 109G6 which hs better guns, turns a lot better and handles better at high speeds.

Yup, Tony's are a very good match for the Hellcats.  There should be some good fights between those planes.   Overall though, there just aren't a lot of planes available.  I assume the JU88 will sub for the Betty again.  Will the Americans get the B26 to sub for the B24?  Also, will the P38 be part of the American set?  hehe, if I'm getting ahead of myself, just smack me and tell me to be patient.   :D

Ki61 will be there; N1K2's will be perked, and available at only a few central fields. Ju88 will sub for Betty, unless we get Ki67 before we start this set up.  As for land-based aircraft for the Allies, first they have to have land bases to fly from  :D.  Also, not all bases will support all aircraft sizes.  Medium bombers will only operate from medium and large fields, for example.  Fighter fields will be unpaved, austere affairs.  Will the Allies get B-26's?  That will be up to them...it will probably be perked if they do.  P38's?  How could we do a PTO without them, I wonder?

On a side note... the Ki-61 is *half* the aircraft the F6F is, at least in AH it is.  Rolls good? the tony? LOL

I loved flying the Tony in that TOD I guested with 56th...  :)

I practiced with it quite a bit and found that I could get it up to 450mph and still have excellent aileron response and elevator response.  It felt like a Jug at those speeds.  Maybe its not so good at low speeds, but I don`t like to fly at low speeds...   ;)

I have no problem in flying the ki 61 aganst those "blue planes", or the P 38 for that matter.

  To bad we dont have a Jack, or a Ki 84, or any of a ton of other potentialy usefull Japanese aircraft that HTC has yet to model :)

 BTW the Peggy never saw service in the Phillipines.

 I was looking forward to the Stalengrad set up hopefully we can do it in the future :)

True, but neither did the Ju-88.  Since the Peggy has the Rising Sun on it and the Ju-88 doesn't, wouldn't it be better to use the Peggy if it is available?

Bill Gunston's "Illustrated Directory of FIGHTING AIRCRAFT of WWII" states the Ki67 first saw service as a torpedo bomber in the Battle of the Phillippine Sea.

I really hope 1.09 has a boatload of Japanese aircraft, not just the Ki67!

That's a "Hinomaru", not a rising sun.  The Rising Sun is rayed and is used on flags.  You can still see it on modern Japanese warships.

The Ki 67 was first flow in combat by the Army's 7th and 98th sentais and the Navy's 762nd kokutai in torpedo attack's during the air sea battle off Formosa in October 1944. The Ki 67 also operated in China and aganst the Marianas, and in defence of the Homeland.

 The ki 67's of these units operated out of formosa not the Phillipines, they did take part in the sea battles that raged during that conflict howeaver, so as has been stated we simply don't have any other plane to fly in the bomber role for the Japanese. it is not likely that HTC will, or would model the Ki 21's or Ki 49's that did take part in those actions from the Phillipines.
