It's getting a bit blowy
« on: September 10, 2013, 03:47:32 PM »
Tropical Storm Gabrielle decided to make a comeback and reformed just to our south:

It is "just" under Cat 1 wind strength.

Should be an interesting night.  The gusts right now as I sit here on my porch are freaking out my dog.  We are pretty sheltered, must be windy as heck off the south shore.  I just rode home in it and it wasn't too bad at all.

Humberto is behind her but way off to our south east.

Looks like the season is heating up.  I hate September.

Stay safe!
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Well, I think the winds were about the worst they ever got when I posted yesterday.  Pretty much a non event.

But, we shall nevar forget!

Certainly appeared so last night.  The storm was supposed to hit at about 1.00am.  At midnight I let the dog out and figured the eye of the storm must be on us as it was almost dead calm...maybe it was I don't know.

No damage at all to anything that I have seen, a few houses without power but all back up today.  A total nothing.  Long may those continue.

Wuss, we had 115km/h winds yesterday and planes were still flying - I had the shortest 737 takeoff ever - I swear we barely did 100m before we were airborne.
