Probably not new, but still wishing for them.

Wreckage that looks this good and lasts for more than a few seconds in the air.  (Blows up and stays on the ground to enjoy said victory).

Occasional rain.

Rearview mirror.

For those that don't have the PC power to handle these "advanced" graphics, an option to turn them off.

These are my wishes. :aok

Rearview mirrors aren't going to happen, same with weather you can turn off!  Do you realize the advantage one would get if they could turn off rain while others had it enabled?  Really!

Same with mirrors,it would give an unfair advantage for those who could run a mirror over those who cant.

Wrecks on the ground would be cool,so would planes scattered about the bases that we could shoot and destroy would be even better but those others, not so much.

Years ago I flew a sim that you could enable/disable weather,so I would setup a room with weather and then turn it off for myself and just bounce all those who flew in it without them ever seeing me,wow I was great....    Then I decided it was time to fly with the big boys in AH,was a real eye opener back at the turn of the century.

Ok, then have an advanced arena with weather, mirrors, etc... and a standard one ( like MA today ).  Then those that have the PC power can enjoy more and those that don't can too and have something to look forward to when they upgrade their PC.

Did you watch that video?  I think it's really neat looking.

I was messing about in a custom arena and turned fog visibility to max and then set dusk / dawn time.

Got yarbles to come in and told him to dive straight down at the ground.   Needless to say he made a nice lawndart straight into the ground.   (I did exactly the same and flying on instruments was the only way of diving through it and having enough time to pull out)

Fog doesn't seem to effect FPS one bit so why do the clouds have more of an effect?  I guess they have more shapes to them but the Fog most definitely made our flying experience that little more chilling.

 Bruv,

I don't dispute weather having an effect, even a good one as far as immersion is concerned but to have the ability to turn on/off as a user ability would just lead to unfair advantages.  I know I did this myself at 1 time long ago.

As for mirrors well I'd like to see them added because I use a 55 inch monitor and with zoom I bet my mirror would be close to most players screen size! However,I don't think it would really help as I'd likely only see a dot in the mirror if I could see anything at all.

My eyesight leaves plenty to be desired,I was actually legally blind for a couple years and had to give up flying completely,I was able to get implants so I can see well enough to drive now, although I'm sure I need corrective lenses because it's becoming more and more difficult to see.

fog is an arena wide setting,

Not asking for it to be switchable,   Maybe just add a random factor that has higher probability of occurring at first light or dusk.

Pockets of weather that drift across the map during the day would be pretty neat also.   The clouds already do this as part of the terrain file but do not get me wrong the cloud rooms in FA killed it for a great number of players.  It was a permanent white cloud bank that sat at 8k through to 12k and just killed the eyes and any sort of dogfighting.   If no-one reset the map it would just linger.   I did however make my best kill by roping this one guy into the cloud bank and used nothing but padlock and my sense of sound to shoot and kill him whilst he stalled and then dove out of the white mess to see his crumpled plane falling out of it.    :D

So it has to be random in different areas and clears away with the wind.
