Doolittle Raid
« on: September 08, 2013, 11:56:45 AM »
Showing the Japanese that their mainland can too be hit!
A 'divine wind' storm, I guess, destroyed some Mongolian Horde fleets that tried to invade at least twice(?) in the years 1274 and 1281.
They had not been invaded since... so after Pearl Harbor, there were some fights, but this one was letting their homeland know that we can hit them too.
Hence: American pride and morale was restored after being caught looking at Pearl Harbor. No major damage, but they were bombed, and that was the point.
The thing was that they were launched from far away so as to keep the CV from getting caught and destroyed. The plan was to land in friendly China areas after, but of course, Japan was there fighting them also. It was a one way trip, to be lived in 'Infamy' also.

Doolittle Raid: up an F-14, opps, I mean a b25, lol, from a cv, and then go bomb an enemy city or strats, after that is up to you, just no landing back at the cv.
I'm reeeally not understanding if this achievement isn't already in the game!?!?

The ending of the flight is mostly open - it was a one way trip with lots of possibilities.
Can get blown out of the sky.
Can crash land - captured or ditch.
Can land at a friendly base.
Just NO landing on the CV, or any other CV!

I would almost add, has to be 16 x players, each in a b-25, and ONLY 16 players, lots of pilots wanted to be in it, but only 16 planes could go.
*adding, this should be done near the beginning of a map, not at the end when one side has bases near the capital.

Probably because you can't launch a B-25 from a CV.
