P-38L is a 1944 aircraft and would not fir in the 1943 CT environment.

The Allies are also already pretty stacked in firghters and ground attack aircraft.

Fly a Mossie, its kinda like a P-38.

The P38's day in the sun is not far off. It was left out of the current planeset for the reasons karnak stated.
