Amd Radeon R9 290

Will the new audio capabilities of these new cards be of any benefit to AH? What about Mantle? Looks like this card will be king of the hill for a while anyway.

the existing embedded audio chips cause problems, unless amd is doing something totally different with the r7/r9 gpu's, i wouldn't hold my breath.

Mantle only works on the game titles that support it. Time will tell if developers accept it widely or not. The console dominance of AMD probably helps with the adoption.

yeah that should make game portage from consoles to PC easier too

looks like I was right to skip the 7000 series  :)
