To be honest, I do remember back in the days of lake fighter town map, seeing 600 or even more in one main arena... Or was i dreaming? Not sure anymore

I can not 'correct' you on that matter. Ultimately, only HT could. But sadly, observation doesn't match yours.

By the way, in the past 5 days I saw the arena peaking out at 300-340 players at US prime time.

As the weather gets crappy I am sure more will show up in the arenas, well that is if you live somewhere were the weather gets crappy

Fall/Winter brings um back.  Dec/Jan seem to be nice and busy with kiddies out, College kids back and it gets darker earlier.

I have no such chart at hand right now, sorry.

By the way, there are no published stats for the actual numbers of players online at any given moment. To track that value, one has to note down the numbers from login screen or roster... which even I do only rarely and only for relatively short samples

Since the great CV control change the AH population spends about just under 1/4th of its "inflight" time per tour (sans manned ack) in GV's.
Of course the actual amount of people in GVs can vary very much between terrains (CraterMa vs Mindanao) generally and momentary combat opportunities in particular.
