Gasp... the guy is a Parapalegic.... choices people. He entered the guys lane, brakes his 500 pound bike in front of a 6000 suv. Choices. Reap what you sow. Not even an ounce of sympathy. If anything that paraplegic bike rider needs to pay for the therapy for the poor suv drivers kid...

It has been really hard to find primers (finally got some out at Cabela's). Now, back into full swing, 230gr FMJ ahead of 5.4 gr powder, reloading away. I went to Jumpaster school with a guy who did ballistics for the NYPD (this was also in the 90s...lol) and he talked me off hollow points forever. Not because they are somehow magically devastating (remember kids, military has to use FMJ bullets by law on bad guys, DHS just bought a bunch of hollow points to use on say you?) but because clothing plugs the point up and they typically do not penetrate as much. He said it was all about size and length of the wound channel. I figure 230gr .45 ought to fit the bill.

In my state, it is illegal to carry a loaded rifle in your car..
But situations like this, is what AR and AK "Pistols" are for..
People ask, "What is THAT for???" Events JUST LIKE THIS..

Be sure to Keep a few pairs of earplugs in the Jockey box too..
Because droppin the hammer inside a car, depending on the weapon,
often will net you broken eardrums.. Even a small caliber weapon
will cause the "audio FUZZ", from the overpressure trapped in the bubble..
A large caliber weapon inside a vehicle, is like gettin hit with a
stun grenade.. (I know because I've practiced it before)

Good stuff to be aware of.. The world is entering the Looney Zone..
Be careful out there.. Show mercy to the weak, but none to those
who are seeking trouble.. Give them the Full Measure of what they seek!

That is a valid point when the target is draped in a winter parka, hunting jacket, or other such thicker piece of clothing.  It should only be more of a concern for those folks who live in the colder parts since people in Miami, LA, and other such place rarely wear thicker clothing.  Plus, research has shown that even though the HP gets clogged it still has a good chance of expanding to some degree.  Also, the winter parka will tend to effect calibers smaller than the .45 ACP more so.  Having the HP plug up isn't going to effect penetration as much as it will the desired effects of the HP, which could ultimately make it perform like an FMJ.

So, shall we at give ourselves the chance that an HP bullet would work regardless of what we're shooting at (or through), or should we by default use FMJ's because .... why?   :)

I agree 100% to this, but I am sure the law isnt.  thats kind of like brake checking a tractor trailer truck with a prius, DONT DO IT!  the end result will be BAD  :lol

Well... you are talking about a 1911.  I'm sure you had a stoppage at some point, cleared it, dropped the old mag, and had to insert a new one.   :D

Those guys are not Bikers.  No biker would have done that, regardless of what type of bike they ride.  I Ride a Ducati 1199 Sport bike, a Honda CBR 1000RR Sport bike, and a goldwing touring bike.  On the street, they are all ridden the same way, with respect to other drivers, and caution to keep my own skin intact.  Ont he track is a different story, as a I will push the edge every time...

Please, DO NOT lump everyone who rides a "crotch rocket" into one group.  Not all of us are idiots, and many of us have respect for other folks, and the rules of the road...

that said, had I been int he SUV, I would have done the same thing.  Do not threaten my family in any way...
