RIP Scott Carpenter
« on: October 10, 2013, 06:08:38 PM »
The fourth U.S. astronaut to fly in space, the second to orbit the Earth and the first man to eat solid food in space. A glitch forced him to take manual control of his spacecraft and miss his splashdown site by over 250nm. It would also be his only spaceflight.

John Glenn is now the sole surviving member of the Mercury Seven.

My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.
