Very sad news.  I had known Stoliman/Deke for years.  We used to chat some about computers, military history and of course about that dam ack over Nit or Roc bases.  He used to like to fly P47s - he liked the load out.  I'll also miss him b/c he was one of the few Democrats (he being a southern conservative and I a northern liberal) that I have come across in the game. I enjoyed the conversations we had about LBJ and other more immediate matters of the day.

Here is a copy from http://addisonfuneralhomes.com/obits/obit.html?id=106672

Thomas Richard (Rick) Meadows passed away unexpectedly Friday, October 4, 2013. He was born on January 15, 1964 in Baytown, Texas. He graduated from Sterling High School, Baytown, in 1982 and received a BA in History from the University of Texas in 1986. He married Rebecca Willams in 1990 and they moved to Spring, Texas in 1992, where they lived for the last 21 years. Rick was employed by HP for the last 15 years. His number one focus was always his family, but he also passionate about military history and the space program, loved travelling and camping, and was a member of a local shooting club.

Rick is survived by his wife of nearly 23 years, Rebecca Meadows; his daughters, Shelby Meadows of San Marcos, Texas, and Samantha Meadows of Spring, Texas; his parents, Karen (Dommert) and Duane Meadows of Mt. Belvieu; his sisters and their husbands, Deborah and Benny Breazeale of Baytown, Jennifer and Kelly Jacobs of Mt. Belvieu; his aunts, Charlotte Dommert and Marlene Dommert of Baytown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Durward and Mae Meadows of Baytown, and Velma and Lewis Dommert, of Baytown.

I'll miss him  <S>

Another one gone too soon.   :salute

To every man upon this earth, death cometh soon or late.
And how can man die better, than facing fearful odds.
For the ashes of his fathers and the temples of his Gods."
