So i do alot of driving for work, and being sick of listening to music on the radio, ive started getting into listening to history Podcasts.
Luckily my company just got me a new Iphone that i can plug into my company car and listen thru the speakers. I wanted to let you gents know of some that ive listened to....and am listening to at the moment, because if your a history nerd like me, you will want to check them out.
A few that come to mind are Mike Duncans "The History of Rome" and Zack Twamleys "When Diplomacy Fails" These guys are amazing. Mike Duncans Rome podcast is over 199 parts and takes you from the start to the end......He also just started one called "Revolutions" which is starting to be as amazing as his Rome project. If you like Roman history....this is a must listen to show....just be aware that it will hook you in, and you will find yourself at every spare moment with your earbuds in your ears.......
When Diplomacy Fails is an ongoing podcast that is up to like 50 shows (im only on show number 8 and he is still producing them) If you get a chance, check them out..... He is just awesome in telling the story of what happens diplomatically up to the outbreak of wars, and then goes thru the war and the outcomes of same...
Ive found a bunch of others....Like A history of Alexander.....and A history of Hannible (Jamie Redfern) that are phenomenal.....
Dan Carlins "Hardcore History" is excellent...actually found myself sitting in my chair at home after work with my earbuds in and watching TV
The History of WWII..havent started it, but a few of the other podcasters i listen to give it high marks
The British History Podcast is also really good....although i stopped listening to it because of Mike Duncans Revolution podcast starting up....Ill get back to it though...
Of all of them, if you have even the slightest intrest in Rome and Roman History, you have to check out The History of Rome.....i dont have enough thumbs to give it the amount of thumbs up it deserves
Hope all you guys that spend alot of time behind the windsheild have a chance to download some of these......you wont regret it.
Ive found all of them in the itunes store.....but they all have their own websites and im sure are available on android
