The Spit I skin is a Spitfire PR Mk IG (a Spitfire Mk I converson) armed with 8 .303s. It flew early armed reconnaissance missions with 1 PRU.



The Spit IX skin is a Spitfire FR Mk IXc armed with 4 .303s and 2 hispanos. It was based in France (later Belgium) in 1944 with No. 16 Squadron and flew armed photo recon missions.

No.  While it doesn't have guns it does have bombs, but that isn't really relevant.  The issue isn't that the one you want to skin doesn't have guns it is that you want to put that skin on one that does have guns.

Going back to the Mosquito it would be like asking to skin a B.Mk IV, which had no guns, on the FB.Mk VI which does have guns.
