Stiff neck using 17 pounders

I think my hat switch views should work when using 17 pounders .  What say others?

Absolutely.
Should get a "commander" position akin to tanks, which would solve the stiff neck problem.

Didn't the 17 Pdr's used to be able to see icons when in F3 mode?  Maybe there is some sort of cross over effect and HTC just did a quick fix.  Not sure.  Only they can answer that.

However, I do think that there should be some sort of way the gun commander (or gunner) could stand up and look over the shield and scan around.  I can't imagine the command/gunner looking though the gun sight 100% of the time.  ;)

All guns were, that's why F3 mode was taken from all the guns. But you still can look around while mannign them.

The 'stiff neck' has another reason. What's maiking the 17lb different from all the other manned guns is the fact it has a regular sight like any regular tank gun. Thus it's being treated like a regular tank gunner position, and all of those lost their ability to look around when the tank modeling was changed.

That's why adding a "commander" station would be the esiest fix, and not a particular unrealistic one as well.

Should be no different than the 88's. :headscratch: Give us the high gear on the 88's as well please while I'm at it.

The British 17 Pounder anti tank gun used two sighting telescopes from what I can find.

No. 41 magnf 1.9 FoV 21 deg
No. 51 magnf 3.0 FoV 13 deg

Anyone have the handbook and a reticle diagram?
