Maybe a lesson to all new posters. Treat others well and you in turn will be treated well.

New and not so new.

A lesson I'm striving to take to heart, more and more. It's one thing to tease back and forth with a fellow player/forum member, both realizing it's in jest and maintaining respect, none-the-less and another to be looking for a fight (for whatever reason).

The one thing I have learnt Arlo is that you should not just look to gain information from this community. People will look at you in a differant light if you give something back. I know nothing about history that people here don't already know, so that is why I try to repay my debt to people like lusche, Earl and many others by adding one or two skins to the game.

I personally hold you with quite high respect, simply by the way you conduct yourself on the boards. Don't think we've met in the MA, mainly due to the fact I hardly fly, but from what I see of your posts, I respect you. Many others do not have my respect for the way they act here. Similarly there are a few people I have had respect for from their actions in the MA that have subsequently lost it by their posts here.

Always try to help out those who help you. If you think you know an interesting fact, post it. Never know, maybe you can enlighten a few people here.

Example, just found out that Edinburgh was the subject of the very first bombing raid on Britian in WW2. October 16th, 1939. Amazing what you find out!
seeds have been laid...but they arent trees we're growing. we're growing organic grenades!- 321BAR
I'd have a better chance in running into a Dodo Bird in the middle of rush hour, walking down the I-5 with two hookers in tow before I see a useful post from glock89- Ack-Ack

The first Ju 88 downed by a Spitfire was shot down during that very raid off the coast of my home town by Flight Officer Pat Gifford of 603 Squadron. My little bit of local history haha.

Apologies for the off-topic.

This place is where I learned to conduct myself in the real-world. I signed for this BBS handle when I was about 13.

I've made a lot of mistakes here. I learned a lot from them. I attribute my kindness and patience to my mother, while
the community here taught me to watch the backs of others while looking out for myself, taught me to say 'thank-you-sir',
and taught me a great deal more about not only what makes a good person, but what makes a crappy person as well.

A lot that I've learned on these boards and in-game I've brought to the real world. A lot of other stuff I had to suffer silently
with in history classes (Uhh, yeah, that's not a P-51.. That's not an ME-109... Can I teach instead?)

A handful of gentlemen here I have looked up to as role models without them really even knowing I was there, absorbing
almost every word that they typed. Windwing, Mace2004, and after flying with them for the first time over a year ago, Earl
and OddCAF. (RoseBlue in-game here)

I'd probably have been a nowhere punk wasting his life away if it weren't for this community. Arlo, although it's never too late
to become a better person, better sooner than later  :)
Put a +1 on your geekness atribute  :aok

Can you imagine running the BOB without the Spit or Hurri I? Or how about 1942 scenarios in the Pacific without the A6M2?

Keep in mind that lack of usage in the Mains means these aircraft aren't important. Scenarios, FSO, and Snapshots are a HUGE part of the game, and these "hangar queens" are vital to many of these setups.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

At least four of the AC posted in the OP are among my favorites to fly at least once in a while (A6M2, Ju-87, P-38G, Spit I) and starting a month or so ahead of BoB and since I've been gravitating more and more to the Spit I as my primary MA ride.  Why in the world would we ever even consider taking things away from the game?

If this was a real list of things to get rid of I'm sure more of my occasional favorites would be on it (Bf109E-4, D3A-1, F4F-4).  I'm surprised the wish wasn't to get rid of WWI, EW and MW and all the aircraft and GV's that go with them and just have a LW Monster arena.  It seems to be in-line with the OP's thought process.

I saw all the Earl's a great guy posts.  Reading between the lines in his many posts on the BBs my take is that he's relatively new, relatively unskilled, doesn't fully understand the mechanics of the game, doesn't know the history of these games and doesn't know the community yet but is enjoying himself and is eager to help.  Sorry to rain on the parade but taking things out of the game won't help anything and will simply lose more players.

I don't really see the point in deleting something that previously had a lot of work put in to create them. Counter-productive really. Deleting one aircraft doesn't make another appear instantly, the same work and effort would still have to be put in to making the new one. All you'd be doing is removing a lot of variety which is something which would detract from the game.

I feel like flying a hangar queen tour. An entire tour flying nothing but P-39's, P-40's, Emils, and other 40+ eny planes. Those planes need loving too!
