Sperry retractable ball turret.
« on: October 22, 2013, 04:07:53 AM »
Found a manual on line for this turret.
Interesting that the gun convergence was set at 1000 yards  :headscratch: Not sure what we have in game 600 yards is what I seem to recall mentioned in the past for guns on bombers?

Thought HTC set convergence in game multiple guns positions to 500yds. AAF taught to not open up until 2000ft(666yds). It's possible Hitech reads the manuals. Wonder if 999000 sleeps with this one under his pillow?

Has a link to pop it up as an Adobe Flash Book. Chapter II covers crew position gunnery with excellent pictures.

This is like the old joke that voters are harsher to their beer brewer if he has an outage, than their politicians after raising their taxes. Death and taxes are certain but, fun and sex is only now.

That convergence range is for all the guns in your bomber.  If you just pull the trigger on your joystick, then you fire a single gun mount.  If you press the "N" key, then you fire all the guns that can point in that direction, all aimed where your cross-hairs are pointing, and set to converge at 600 (?) yards.
