I found a place saidd it is just a modification they added to one P-47.  Didnt like the results and took off. 


Hammer I would be upping that for a camped spawn

6 Hispanos would trump the 8 .50s. If such a ride existed I think it would be at least a 50 perk ride.

Four Hispanos would trump the eight Browning .50s, being the equivalent of twelve Browning .50s.  Six Hispanos would be equivalent to eighteen Browning .50s, more than twice what the P-47 carried.

By the US Navy's calculations the Spitfire Mk XIV with two Hispanos and two Browning .50s has the same firepower as the P-47 with eight Browning .50s.

I'm not looking for it, but I read and saw a pic from the PTO of  some F4U-1 packing 2 1000 lbs and 1 2000 lbs bomb cuz they had them left over at the base, due to the fact that the b24's that were supposed to come to that field never did, short runway or someone. So I'll take that. And a list of other field mods for the 190's too.
